DAY 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the Kathmandu Guest House.

DAY 2: In the morning we take a spectacular 40 min. flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, perched at 9400ft

(2865m) in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal. In Lukla the porters load up and we proceed to Phakding

(8700ft, 2650m), an easy afternoon's scenic walk. Camp near Phakding.

DAY 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (11300ft, 3440m), the main admistrative and trading centre for the

Khumbu region.

DAY 4: Acclimatization day at Namche.

DAY 5: Namche to Thyangboche (12700ft, 3875m), along a trail with spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse,

Kantaiga, and Ama Dablam.

DAY 6: Thyangboche to Dingboche (13950ft, 4252m).

DAY 7: Acclimatization day at Dingboche

DAY 8: Dingboche to the tiny settlement of Dughla (15150ft, 4620m), on the terminal moraine of the great

Khumbu Glacier.

DAY 9: Steep climb up to Lobuche (16175ft, 4930m)

DAY 10: Climb up to Mt Kalapatar (18200ft, 5545m) Everest, the highest point on the planet at 29028ft,

8848m, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse

and countless others.

DAY 11: Walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 17600ft, 5380m. Return down to

Lobuche for the night.

DAY 12: Lobuche down to Pheriche

DAY 13: Pheriche to Namche

DAY 14: Namche to Lukla

DAY 15: Early Morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
